I find joy, grace and healing in music. After being diagnosed with a rare, aggressive and potentially fatal form of bone cancer five years ago, I started singing and playing guitar for the first time — something I had always wanted to do, but never made time for.

Now I know that making music helps me process trauma. "Shake" was one way for me to work through overwhelming fear, sadness and loss to better dance with the uncertainty of life.
